Before you service it
- • LT1 holds 10 QUARTS of oil — underfilling to a typical V8's 6–8 qt will starve the engine.
- • dexos1-certified oil required — check the bottle label.
- • Belly pan (undertray) must come off for oil-drain access (7 mm + 10 mm fasteners).
- • Dex-Cool must NOT be mixed with green coolant — mixing gels and clogs the system.
- • Brembo brakes (SS 1LE): DOT 4 only, bleed with a scan tool for ABS.
