On the 2025-2026 Toyota Camry A25A-FXS 2.5L Hybrid, nHTSA recall 25V744 covers certain 2025-2026 Toyota Camry Hybrid vehicles equipped with affected Panoramic View Monitor software, not every Camry in those model years. Under a specific startup-to-reverse timing sequence, the rear image may freeze for up to 1.8 seconds. A separate early-startup optical-alignment write and ECU power-down sequence can cause a blank image on the next ignition cycle. Either condition can reduce rear visibility and fails FMVSS 111 requirements, increasing crash risk.

An internal inverter bolt may have been improperly tightened, causing incomplete terminal contact or becoming loose. That can cause loss of motive power and, if a short occurs while the vehicle is powered on, a fire. Production date alone does not establish VIN inclusion.
